Light of Peace

The Light of Peace Event in San Enrique, Iloilo was well attended by the townspeople of the Municipality of San Enrique, its 28 barangays.

Neighboring towns and municipalities added support by having representatives for the flaming event. City schools coming from Iloilo City (WVSU, ISAT U) also attended.

The proceedings of the event are as follows: first part registration of volunteers at 8:30 am, second registration for participants at 1:30 pm. A pre-program presentation was participated by the Mary Help of Christians Parish Chorale. Program perse started with a meditation at 5:00 pm. It was followed by a prayer coming from different religious sect by their respective clergy (Catholic, Muslim and Buddhist). The singing of the National Anthem next. Then, a series of speeches followed suit. Honorable Mayor Ramona Palabrica-Go was the first to give here insights on "World Peace" thru "Inner Peach". Representative Mark Villar also gave his speech, a representative from UNESCO, a representative from Department of Tourism, among others who attended and gave their speeches.

The flaming event was sponsored by the Municipality of San Enrique, Smart Communications, Representative Pablo Nava of Append, Representative Mark Lapid, Midway Meditation Institute, and Taytay Sa Kauswagan Inc.

ISCOF-SEC and SECS-ALS launch Computer Hardware Servicing

Thursday, July 18, 2013 - San Enrique, Iloilo 

Iloilo State College of Fisheries-San Enrique Campus and District of San Enrique/San Enrique Central School - Alternative Learning System launches the Computer Hardware Servicing Program. The joint effort was made possible by ISCOF-SEC Campus Administrator Dr. Regina P. Clavel, through his Extension Chair, Dr. Antonio M. Llasus, Ian P. Sugatan, SCS Extension Coordinator, faculty and Staff, in counterpart with District of San Enrique, headed by Dr. Jorita M. Paciente, District Supervisor I, Remlani D. Osano, Principal II of SECS, Samuel P. Lapasaran, ALS District Coordinator, and ALS Teachers.

They held a short program at ALS District Center, SECS, San Enrique, Iloilo. Fifty-one (51) ALS Learners attended the event. They came from various barangays of San Enrique, mostly out-of-school-youths.  

This program aimed to introduce the learners to various ways of maintaining a computer system, repairing it if possible, and be able to adopt new skills in handling it. Specifically, it aimed to (1) Install Computer Systems and Networks (2) Diagnose and Troubleshoot Computer Systems (3) Configure Computer Systems and Networks and (4) Maintain Computer Systems and Networks.

Duration of the Program is from July 18, 2013 until October 10, 2013.

ISCOF-San Enrique Joins the 56th Founding Anniversary Celebration Foot Parade

Iloilo State College of Fisheries - San Enrique joins the Foot Parade of the 56th Year Celebration of the founding of San Enrique.

This was possible through the strong leadership of Dr. Regina P. Clavel, Campus Administrator, Mrs. Marevic F. Catalogo, Admin Officer IV, Chairs of different divisions, Deans, Faculty and Staff, Students.

San Enrique, Iloilo celebrates its 56th Founding Anniversary. It was spearheaded by its newly installed Municipal Officials, Mayor Ramona P. Go and Vice-Mayor Rolando Cordero.

The celebration started with a foot parade dubbed, "Freedom March" to commemorate the separation of San Enrique from Passi City, then known as Patria Municipal.

It was a great day for all San Enriquenhons, which participated at the said event. Students from different schools particularly San Enrique Central School, San Enrique National Comprehensive High School, and Iloilo State College of Fisheries - San Enrique Campus bannered Philippine Flags with the Municipal Seal, while marching. The march started in front of SECS going to the town's major streets, Garrido, Rosario, Angeles, and finally, Palabrica, which stretched in front of the town plaza and the Municipal Hall.


A program was prepared by the local LGU. It was started by a prayer, then Pambansang Awit on record, followed by "San Enrique Hymn" sung by DepEd-District of San Enrique Teachers Choir. A short spiel of San Enrique's Historical Separation was read next. Messages of the guests followed.  

Mayor Go, in her speech talk about how the course of history changed the lives of every San Enriquenhon. She said that every child is special and must be reared right because they are our future. Vice-Mayor Cordero in the meantime, talks about political unity to bring peace and prosperity to the town.

The program ended with an intermission number coming from SENCH selected students.
